Our team consists of passionate, highly trained canine professionals who understand dog behavior, socialization, and safety. We treat every dog as if they were our own, ensuring they get the attention, exercise, and care they need throughout the day.

Hello! I’m Naomi! Some people also know me as Xochitl!
 
I am part of both the training and daycare teams here at Under the Sun!
 
When it comes to working with dogs I am particularly inspired by training methods that support a balanced mindset and build a clear channel of communication between dog and human. The relationship between dog and human is an ancient one that not only connects us back to our place on the planet but also makes way for a deeper understanding of ourselves.
 
For me dog training is always a process of deep listening, honesty, boundaries, clear communication, patience, and wild joy. I also acknowledge that each dog and human team is unique and not one size fits all.
 
It makes me excited to have the opportunity to share with you training that can guide our dogs to a place where they can experience the world safely off leash, socialize with other dogs properly, think and make balanced choices for themselves, and build confidence alongside their humans! 
 
So, whether you are confronted with behavioral issues, are interested in agility training, or just want your dog to walk nicely on leash I would love to be part of your journey forward!

Hi, I’m Katie—and working with dogs is truly where my heart is. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I relocated to Colorado in 2018 and quickly found myself immersed in the vibrant pet care community here.
My journey with animals began long before this role, through years of volunteering at humane societies and rescue organizations.
At Under the Sun, I split my time between working with the dogs and helping out at the front desk. With hands-on experience in dog behavior, group play, and daily care routines, I take pride in creating a safe, fun, and loving environment for every pup that walks through our doors. I find so much joy in forming meaningful connections with each dog in my care.
To me, this isn’t just a job—it’s a passion. I feel incredibly lucky to be doing what I love and to be part of the Under the Sun team!

Hiya! I’m Lori and I am originally from Tampa, Florida but moved to the Springs in 2011. I have spent most of my life around dogs and have worked in Veterinary medicine, with many major medical rescues, and even did a pre-Covid gig with Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I have my own small business in addition to my time with UTS. In my spare time, I am out walking with my husband John and our dogs Paisley and Bee, cooking, trying new breweries, traveling the world, and finding any and all sporting events and concerts. I’m so glad to meet and play with all the dogs at UTS and the people who love them!

I’m Jacklyn, this is my dog Percy! Animals have been near and dear to my heart since I could pet them! I’m studying to become an Animal Acupressure therapist because healing animals with natural energy is my passion!

Hello, I’m Brieanne! Ever since I was young, I have always had a dog beside me! They have supported me throughout my life and since they have been there for me I want to continue to be there for them. So I am happy to be able to care for your dogs and make them feel at home at UTS!

Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m a Colorado native and ever since I was little, I wanted to be around dogs and work with them. I was raised around hunting Labrador Retrievers and they began my love for animals. As a college student, working at UTS gives me a great outlet to be around pups as I don’t have my own yet. I can’t wait to meet your pet family members and play all day!!!

Hi, I’m Taylor! Dogs have always been such a cherished part of my life. Growing up in a family that truly values the importance of dogs has allowed me to discover my passion for working with them. As a 3rd generation dog handler, I feel incredibly lucky to be here at Under the Sun, where I get to enjoy the companionship of our furry friends every day. From daycare to training to swim lessons, I have had the joy of being involved in all aspects of this wonderful business and savor every minute of it. Hello, my name is Brooke. I lived all over the United States due to my family being in the military. Anywhere we went we always had dogs by our side. They meant the world to us and were always part of our family. Working at UTS, my objective is to watch and care for your dogs since they are part of your family.
