Loved the tag team approach in this class, and the flexible options/suggestions to do what works best for you, not a strict "this is the only correct way" approach. I think that Under the Sun is genuinely concerned about the well-being of dogs in their care. I appreciated the care that Maui received even though she was not able to stay for her full introductory visit because she had some learning to do regarding when another dog resists her advances to play . We were offered a solution (some extra training) and Maui was safely kept in a separate area until I could pick her up.

Classes are fun and well paced. We just finished up Advanced Obedience today. I appreciate the training I am getting even as much as for my dog! It makes for such a fun activity to do together.

We're so thankful to have found UTS!
When my 1 year old chocolate lab walked into UTS for the first time (after months of training and close to $1000 spent on said training at two other locations), he was extremely loud, reactive, embarrassing, and nearly uncontrollable on a leash. The way we had been doing things had failed us, badly.
My pup and I have been working with Kari the trainer on a 1:1 basis for about 3 weeks now, and I literally can not say enough great things about Carrie and all the staff at Under the Sun. Instead of shaming or blaming me, I have experienced compassion and genuine understanding. Each lesson we tackle our issues in order of severity, and I feel confident upon leaving each time that even more growth is just around the corner.
I walked into UTS feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, and in such a short time I now feel confident and so excited to learn as much as possible. Carrie and the UTS team have truly given my pup and I clean slate and great foundation from which to build. The sky's the limit now! Thanks UTS!

We worked with Tim on off-leash training for our Siberian Husky and German Shorthaired Pointer and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. Tim is a pleasure to work with, he is very knowledgable and straightforward. He gave us excellent direction during sessions and homework in between sessions. Both of our pups have demonstrated incredible growth and responsiveness to the techniques Tim taught us as handlers. There is really nothing better than seeing your dog run free and feeling confident that you can recall them when you truly need to. Thank you, Tim!

The professionalism of this facility is unparalleled! I was blown away by clean and incredible the building is, but then to encounter staff, trainers, etc., all smiling, all eager to assist and help, it was incredible. Even with a large group of individuals and dogs coming in for training, the orderly staff was able to handle all of it with ease. In the group class we were in it felt as though we had one on one training at the same time. I never thought going through training with a new puppy would be such a great and really enjoyable experience both for me and my dog. Under The Sun has my vote for the best I have ever encountered.

I was nervous dropping off my pups because they had not been to doggie daycare in over 6 mos. They are their own little pack but had done well at daycare before.

I shared my concerns with the staff and they were caring and professional. Even let me peek through a window to see how my dogs interacted. They had a great day and were pooped pups when I picked them up. A tired dog is a happy dog!

My dogs have been going to Under the Sun for years. THE SAME PEOPLE HAVE WORKED THERE. That’s what I love about this place. They don’t have huge employee turnover and the employees love my dogs and vice versa. I love that they are out to play all day and not just for specified “play time”.
