I have been training and working K9’s for over 44 years in areas of Police K9 (patrol, detection and tracking), Search and Rescue (wilderness air scent, disaster response), Man trailing Bloodhounds , Working Cattle Dogs and Service Dogs.

I served 20 years in law enforcement (16 years were with a K9 partner). During this time I was promoted to a Master K9 Handler.

While living in Virginia, I volunteered with the Culpeper Humane Society where I trained shelter dogs and conducted temperament assessments in addition to working as a Animal Control Officer. I also evaluated shelter dogs for the U.S. Customs Service Canine Division in Front Royal, Va.

I have been certified by the HSUS for Emergency Animal Sheltering and Disaster Animal Response Team.

I was the Assistant Disaster Services Director for American Red Cross and a C.E.R.T  Instructor.

I am currently an AKC certified CGC evaluator, AKC scent work judge and NACSW nose work judge as well  a AKC Canine Ambassador

I enjoy working with my clients and their dogs and working to create the training plan that works and continues to grow the relationship with their dogs.

“After working with dogs for so many years and having my own service dog, I know and have seen how they help people and save lives. I am very excited to be a part of the Under the Sun team.”
